Castle will air in Australia on the 7 network. That's all the details we've been able to confirm at this point.
There is a rumour that it will begin to air on Sunday 17th May but this is unconfirmed at this point.

Is this good news for those of us on the North American continent? I would imagine that if they're going to air the show in Australia, it must have some merit and at least have a better chance for a second season… or is this just wishful thinking at play?

I wish it were the case, we are getting this hype about a new series " The evidence" turns out 8 episodes were made in 2006. So I wish I could say Yay! but unfortunatley our networks tend to do some strange things.
I love castle and I hope that it airs on May 17 and gets some more Aussies hooked.

I'm in sydney and it is definitly starting on sunday, I'm very excited, I watched the first 6 episodes when I was in USA, its brillient… Australia, standby to be impressed !

I watched it last night.
It was Brilliant!!!
After the first five minutes, I knew it was magic!!!
The chemistry between Castle & Beckett is electric!!!
Loved the rest of the cast, the writing, the setting … everything!!!
I've just read it's been renewed for a 2nd season in the US.
Congratulations to all involved!!!
This is the best show I've seen in a very long time!!!

Oh how awesome is this show? It's my new fav. It's like a cross between Bones and SVU without SVU's angst. I'm a happy viewer for sure since I love both those shows.

On the tv channel page they have a vote going on about favourite TV detective duo – and allthough Castle has been in the lead most of the time, we are now tied with Bones. Need help voting here!!!
you can vote several times (about 25) before being locked out, then wait some hours, and start over again.
and if you have two computers, you can vote on both
